Who We Are

Annette Nilles, owner of Nilles Design Group, is known as one of the premier residential designers in Southwest Florida.  She has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry.

In 1982, Annette began a 15 year span developing skills in truss design, HVAC layout and design, and working for local architects and structural engineers.  During that time, Annette paired her construction experience with her natural talent for drawing to begin her residential design career.  Since then, Annette has formed close partnerships with dozens of local builders and vendors.  She attributes her success to her attention to the smallest detail and her ability to turn her client’s lifestyle needs and design ideas into a livable space they will love.

Annette’s husband Mike joined the company in 2008, bringing with him more than 30 years experience in truss design and related disciplines.

Nilles Design Group is a member of the Lee Building Industry Association (LBIA).   For more than two decades, the LBIA has recognized Nilles Design Group as a leader in their field with numerous Parade of Homes™ awards for Overall Design and Pinnacle Awards for Product Design of the Year.

In 2008, Mike and Annette began volunteering for Builders Care, the non-profit arm of the LBIA.  Builders Care provides emergency construction services at no cost to needy elderly, disabled, and economically disadvantaged homeowners.  The Builders Care organization sits close to Annette’s heart and she has been on their Board of Directors since 2010.  Aside from donating countless hours to this life-changing organization, Nilles Design Group has also provided the construction plans for nearly 100 Builders Care projects free of charge.
